This course gives delegates an introduction to PRINCE2® methodology preparing them for the Foundation exam and work effectively within an environment supporting PRINCE2.
What is the PRINCE2 Foundation Qualification?
PRINCE2 is one of the world’s most widely used project management methods. Based on best-practice, the method can be applied to any project irrespective of its size, industry sector, geographic location or culture.
With PRINCE2 Foundation you get an introduction to the PRINCE2 method. It is designed to provide you with sufficient knowledge and understanding, to the PRINCE2 method well enough to be able to work effectively with, or as a member of, a project management team working within an environment supporting PRINCE2. The Foundation certification is also a prerequisite for the Practitioner certification.
Who is the qualification for?

- Other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of projects, including:
- Project board members (e.g. senior responsible owners)
- Team managers (e.g. product delivery managers)
- Project assurance (e.g. business change analysts)
- Project support (e.g. project and programme office personnel)
- Operational line managers/staff
How is it assessed?
The format of the Foundation exam is as follows:
60 minute exam duration
33/60 required to pass = 55% pass mark
The aim of this course is to:
Demonstrate that you understand and can recall the various components of the PRINCE2 method.
Explain the PRINCE2 principles.
Explain the purpose of the seven PRINCE2 themes.
Describe each step of the PRINCE2 journey, listing the activities required to guide a project throughout its lifecycle.
Identify the recommended PRINCE2 management products which include baselines, records and reports.
There are no formal requirements, but it would help if delegates have an understanding of project management.
