What is the PRINCE2 Practitioner Qualification?
PRINCE2 is one of the world’s most widely used project management methods. Based on best-practice, the method can be applied to any project irrespective of its size, industry sector, geographic location or culture.

The PRINCE2 Foundation introduces you to the PRINCE2 process-based method whilst the Practitioner teaches you how to apply and tailor PRINCE2 for effective project management. Giving you the skills to feel confident in managing projects successfully within the workplace and provide you with greater control of resources and the ability to manage business and project risk in an effective manner.

 

Who is this qualification for?
This course would benefit:

  • Project managers and aspiring project managers
  • Other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of projects, including:
  • Project board members (e.g. senior responsible owners)
  • Team managers (e.g. product delivery managers)
  • Project assurance (e.g. business change analysts)
  • Project support (e.g. project and programme office personnel)
  • Operational line managers/staff

How is it assessed?
The format of the Foundation exam is as follows:

60 minute exam duration
60 questions
Closed book
33/60 required to pass = 55% pass mark

The format of the Practitioner exam is as follows:

150 minute exam duration
68 questions
Open book (official PRINCE2 manual only)
38/68 required to pass = 55% pass mark

 

Prerequisites

There are no formal pre-requisites for taking the Foundation examination. In order to sit the Practitioner exam you must have passed the Foundation exam.

Pre-course will be set and it is expected to take six to eight hours to complete.
